RR by Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro: a celebration of love.

Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro 's first joint work is, above all, a celebration of love. The Catalan and Puerto Rican duo are, in their own right, two superstars of today's music, and have attracted the attention of millions of fans of their work. On the occasion of their formal engagement, they have released this small EP of three songs, which they have written and composed together, and produced together with Noah Goldstein , Dylan Patrice and Jake Miller . The reception, as expected, has been overwhelming, and their first single, Beso , quickly climbed to number one in the Spanish and Latin American charts.

RR: Three years of passion, three songs.

For their three-year relationship, they offer us three songs. “Beso is what we felt at the beginning, Vampiros is where we are now and Promesa is the future” Rosalía explained about the project. Beso , the song that opens the EP, is a ballad with a bachata feel, in which the rhythmic base contrasts with the sweetness of the lyrics, in which the couple intertwines their voices to express the intensity of their feelings. “The best thing I have is the love you give me / It smells like tobacco and melon and Sunday in the city / If you wait for me I can bend time / I can tie up the sky and give it to you entirely”.

Vampiros, the second song in the sequence, changes the tone completely. A dark reggaeton, with marked bass and industrial percussion, and an imagery that seems to lead us –from its very title- to the aesthetics of Only Lovers Survive, by Jim Jarmush. “Life comes back to us / It is said that we must break up / That time must not be wasted…” If in the video for the first song, they made use of their personal recordings, in this second one they take us to Barcelona. We see Rauw Alejandro and Rosalía wandering through the streets of the Gothic Quarter late at night, where they visit Bar Marsella, and then they go to the famous churrería on Calle Marina, to end their journey at Espai Corberó at dawn. And we finish with a bolero, Promesa, a genre that Rosalía had already approached in Motomami in DELIRIO DE GRANDEZA , a soft and tender song that will undoubtedly go straight to the hearts of the fans of both.

RR: A gift for his fans.
