Kiki Morente - El Cante (Vinyl Edition)
LP edition. José Enrique Morente, Kiki Morente, publishes his second album entitled El cante (Universal Music). In it, the young singer from Granada makes his debut as a composer and writer of some of the songs that make up the album produced by Enrique Heredia “El Negri”, a member of the legendary group La barbería del sur, and co-produced by the young singer himself. Jaime Beltrán, from the Granada group Pájaro Jack, and José Romero, a gypsy from Madrid who has brought trap influences to the electronic production, have also participated in it. The new songs were recorded at Estudios Morente (Granada) and at Mestizopuro Estudios (Madrid). The mixes were done by Fran Gude and “El Negri” at Kepplep Studios (Madrid). LP edition. If her first album has as its title her origin, Albayzín (Universal Music), in El cante el pequeño de los Morente she takes us to another place of the same flamenco cante jondo, which is her innate source of inspiration and place of musical origin. In this album Kiki reflects on the times that we live in for flamenco and for music, as well as on the possibilities that it contains to create and compose, from the desire to do something of her own, something universal, starting from popular literature, her own compositions to giving voice to the words of Blas de Otero. This is an album where the freedom of musical expression is evident under the flag of creation and knowledge.
